Enjoy two free nights when you book a three or five-night break
From 1 November to 31 March (excluding school holidays) Beach Retreats are offering two free nights for guests that book a three or five-night stay over the phone. Below we have hand-picked 6 properties that are included in this fantastic offer, with a little inspiration on things to see and do over your two free days.
Please be aware this offer is for guests that book their property over the phone.
Harbourside Cottage – Boscastle
Walk the South Coast Path
Boscastle is a sheltered natural inlet, sat within steep cliffs and home to quaint stone-built cottages, shops and tea-rooms. The picturesque harbour is part of the National Trust, with the South West Coast Path running directly through the village. Follow the path yourself or for a little more guidance find a map and accessibility information on the South West Coast Path website.
Make a wish at St Nectan’s Glen
Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, St Nectan’s Glen is made up of three beautiful waterfalls, each unique and just as a stone’s throw away from one another. Walk through an ancient woodland with Ivy clad trees and along the banks of the river Trevillet before you reach the first one. Pick up your wellies on arrival and keep your eyes peeled for Cornish piskies and fairies. Find out more about visiting St Nectan’s Glen from Boscastle here.

Coastman’s Nest – Mawgan Porth
Take a surf lesson
Wake up to the sound of waves in our Mawgan Porth property, Coastmans Nest. With the beach just 800 metres away, it would be rude not to go from ‘bed to board’ and ride those waves. King Surf is the local surf school offering lessons for all abilities for both groups and individuals. Find out more about King Surf here.
Enjoy a spa day at Bedruthan Steps
With spectacular sea views, a deep and luxurious spa pool and the cleansing benefits of a cedar sauna, eucalyptus steam room and lavender caldarium, Bedruthan Spa is the ideal place for those wanting to relax and unwind during their stay. The Sensory Spa Garden is inspired by fire, earth, water, air and space, where guests will move through seven stages, each drawing on the sights, sounds, aromas and textures of nature. Find out more about spa days with Bedruthan here.

Casa Vista – Trevone
Walk the coast path to Stepper Point
From Trevone beach, guests of Casa Vista can enjoy a lovely walk along the South West Coast Path to Stepper Point. Pass the famous sink hole (a large blowhole formed from an old collapsed sea cave) and look out over the Camel Estuary and Daymer Bay. When you reach Stepper Point, don’t forget to grab a selfie in front of the Daymark, an old tower built as a navigation aid for sailors entering the port during daylight.
Ride the Camel Trail
Explore Cornwall on two wheels as your ride the Camel Trail, an 18-mile disused railway line through Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. Casa Vista guests can hire bikes from Go Bycyle, who personally deliver bikes to your accommodation, then cycle to Padstow to get on the Camel Trail. Look out for plenty of wildlife along the way and be sure to stop off for a traditional Cornish pasty.

Windrush – Holywell Bay
Climb the sand dunes at Holyell Bay beach
With a natural playground on your doorstep, Holywell Bay beach is the perfect spot for those holidaying with the whole family. Climb the golden sand dunes, discover wildlife in and around the shallow stream and watch the sunset drop behind the famous Gull Rocks. If you’ve been watching the BBC One Poldark series, you’ll know this spot well.
Relax by a crackling fire in the local pub
Relax and unwind after a long day of exploring at Treguth Inn, in Holywell Bay. This thatched 13th century cottage serves delicious home-cooked food, real ale and has a crackling log fire for the winter months. Travelling with your four-legged friend? Treguth in is also dog-friendly so no need to leave anyone behind. Find out more and see a menu here.
Liberty Cottage – St Agnes
Take in the breathtaking views from Wheal Coates mine
Guests of Liberty cottage have some fantastic walks nearby that are a must when holidaying in St Agnes. Drive 5-10 minutes up the road and park in the Chapel Porth National Trust car park. From here take the South West Coast Path along the cliff until you reach the Wheal Coates mines. The stunning ocean backdrop is loved by many, with artists flocking here year on year. Find out more about walking to Wheal Coates here.
Build a sandcastle at Trevaunance Cove
Known as one of Cornwall’s ‘Best kept secrets’ Trevaunace Cove is a family favourite for those visiting St Agnes and its surrounding area. Build a castle in the golden sand, go rockpooling at low tide and enjoy a walk around to its neighbouring beach Trevallas Porth. Dogs are welcome on this beach all year round. Find out more about visiting Trevaunance Cove here.
Chi an Treth – Widemouth Bay
Drink a hot chocolate at Widemouth Bay Cafe
There’s nothing better than hunkering down with a hot chocolate (extra marshmallows of course) whilst you watch the waves crashing in the bay. Widemouth Bay Cafe offers both inside and outdoor seating serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with commanding views of the pumping surf. Find out more and see a full menu here.
Go rockpooling on Black Rock beach
Head to Widemouth Bay at low tide and visitors will be pleasantly surprised with hundreds of rockpools just waiting to be explored.
